They also said not to look in curios because they mostly just stress your party members out. The only Curio you should never interact with in my opinion is the Stack of Books because you actually can't guarantee good results from those and you're much more likely to get high stress or a negative quirk than having anything positive happen. Just learn what provisions you need to get the best results out of curios (90% of the time it's just common sense, like using a key on a lock or using Holy Water on altars and the like) and you'll never be getting stressed from them. Not to mention Shamblers start to appear in hallway battles at 0 torch, and unless you're specifically hunting them down you almost never want that.Īlso, stopping interacting with curios means you lose probably 60% of the loot you get from quests. Even if you get less loot, I'd much rather walk out with a smaller profit than walk out with a party on the verge of going insane. High torch is altogether easier to manage. Enemies deal higher damage and get the same boost to crit rates, not to mention you take significantly more stress than usual. You don't get more crit damage when your torch is low, all you get is a tiny 2% boost to your crit rates. I personally very much prefer high torch to low torch.
